Another question from a friend and today’s question is about software to edit PDF for free. Well, if you’re expecting a premium pdf editor for free, i guess you can’t find it anywhere. A great PDF editor usually a commercial one. But if you’re looking for a simple PDF editor which can do standard editing such as text editing, coloring, re-sizing, layout redesigning and such — try LibreOffice.
LibreOffice is a Free Open Source Software licensed under the terms of the LGPLv3. Which mean you can have it for free, you can copy as many times as you like because it’s developed by a community.
LibreOffice is community-driven and developed software which is a project of the not-for-profit organization, The Document Foundation.
It is actually an Office Production software bundle contain Words and Spreadsheet processing, Database, Math Formula, Drawing and also a Presentation tool.
To edit PDF, simply open PDF file with it and it will automatically call Draw Drawing to handle the PDF and you can edit afterwards. More detail please follow the following steps.
Please note that you need to select the text or object within before editing, and sometime (depend on text layout you have) you can only select and edit the text per line. But overall for me LibreOffice is a great tool to edit pdf for free.
